When I got the chance to interview David J. Peterson, the president of the American Gastroenterology Association, he was in town to give a keynote at a conference in San Francisco.

During the talk, he gave a presentation about a device he had developed called a gastric balloons.

He was showing off the device, which he said could save a life by helping to deflate a balloon.

“You can take a balloon and put it in the stomach,” he said.

“If the balloon goes up, you know, it’s gone.”
